I strive to interpret the world around me and create a
feeling, rather than a realistic representation of my subject matter. My recent move to Santa Fe has opened up a new exciting world of inspiration. I enjoy the adventure of life and creating. Every day something is added to my being that
affects my mood, my psyche, and my state of mind. The sum total of all my parts keeps changing. I keep growing.
Sometimes I need to express myself with images. Sometimes with words. Memories are triggered, feelings
surface. Life is a wonderful place to be.

At present, acrylics are my main medium. I enjoy the
textures and being able to work abstractly to express the
mood of my subject. There is a freedom to play because the medium is so versatile. Flowers and landscapes inspire
my work with a side journey into narrative expressions
of people and places around me and from my childhood.
